Very cool place!!! Kids and adults can both enjoy it. There is a playground for the kids and the trail through the park is easy enough for most people to traverse. If you are wanting a little adventure, climb on up the HUGE rocks! Some of them felt like climbing on a dinosaur! It was awesome! Just be sure to be careful because if you fall, it's a long way down!
This place is a magical, historic almost imaginary place. Boulders so huge 2 or 3 of my houses could set in their shadow. To stand on one of there rocks and look across rhe hills for what seems to be miles is truly unbelievable. Take lots of photos because friends will have a hard time comprehending them when you tell them about these boulders.
Loved it. Easy walk around the park and the trails are very well kept. Cool to see such old stuff!!
Absolutely wonderful place to visit. Driving through Missouri, looking for a day adventure? This is the place to go. Tons of historical information explaining how the formations in the rocks where made. Great hiking trails, kids absolutely love climbing on the rocks. Picnic spots, bathrooms, and vending machine. 10/10. I would recommend a weekday trip if you are looking for a little bit more peaceful atmosphere in the park, as during the weekend the place is usually packed.
I absolutely love elephant rock. It's like a giant playground. Make sure to see the old railroad station. This place is vision impaired - friendly, which is amazing.
